The 5-foot-10 senior throws specialist earned All-American status this past season with a fourth-place finish in the discus at Nike Outdoor Nationals, an event she also won at the Class 4A state meet. In April, Meacham launched the apparatus a personal-best 172 feet, 10 inches, which ranked as the nation’s No. 5 distance among prep girls competitors this spring. She added a second-place finish in the shot put at the state meet (42-11.5).
Meacham has maintained a 4.00 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on scholarship at the University of Kansas this fall.
A member of her school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter, Meacham has volunteered locally as part of community service projects through her church. She has also donated her time by mentoring throwers in the middle school track program.
