The 6-foot senior forward averaged 21.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game this past season, leading the top-seeded Brave (24-2) to the 5A state semifinals. The returning Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year, Howell is ranked as the nation’s No. 23 recruit in the Class of 2024 by espnW. She is also a 2024 McDonald’s All-American Game selection, making her only the second Idahoan girl in history to be selected.
Howell has maintained a 3.56 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Southern California this fall.
Howell has volunteered locally on behalf of Boise High’s annual Parent/Daughter Clinic and with the program’s Pink Zone Game, which this season raised more than $10,800 for breast cancer research. She also has donated her time as a counselor at various summer basketball camps.
