The 5-foot-11 senior right-handed pitcher led the Timberwolves to a 25-2 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season. Sherwood posted a 25-2 mark in the circle with a 0.50 earned run average, striking out 273 batters while allowing just 61 hits in 167 innings pitched. A member of the Peruvian National Team, she batted .392 with 10 home runs and 35 RBI this spring.
Sherwood has maintained a 3.44 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play softball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas this fall.
A tenor saxophonist in the Jackson High school band, Sherwood has volunteered locally at a homeless shelter and as a youth softball coach.
