Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Track & Field Player of the Year, the 6-foot, 160-pound senior swept the 100-meter dash, the 300-meter hurdles and discus events at the Division 1 state meet this past season, leading the Hornets to a third-place finish as a team. Lamell also took third in the long jump. A week after the state meet, he cruised to the Vermont State Decathlon Championships crown for a second time. At the time of his selection, Lamell ranked No. 1 in the state in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes as well as the 300 hurdles and the discus. He was also No. 3 in the long jump and No. 6 in the shot put.

Academic Achievement

Lamell has maintained a 3.64 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Rhode Island this fall.

Exemplary Character
