At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior wing had led the Crusaders to a 21-4 record and a berth in the Chipotle High School Basketball Nationals. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, Edgecombe averaged 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks through 25 games. A McDonald’s All-American Game selection, he was named to Team World for the Nike Hoop Summit in April. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 5 recruit in the Class of 2024 by ESPN.
Edgecombe has maintained an A-minus average in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Baylor University this fall.
Edgecombe has been an active member of his church in the Bahamas and he volunteered locally as a youth basketball coach.
