The 6-foot, 160-pound junior point guard led the Eagles to a 29-3 record and the Division II, Class AA state championship this past season. Tanner averaged 19.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.1 steals per game. He recorded 22 points and five steals in BA’s 63-52 win over Briarwood Christian High in the state final, earning tournament MVP honors. He is a two-time Division II-AA Mr. Basketball finalist.
Tanner has maintained a 3.82 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Tanner has volunteered locally as part of community beautification projects and has donated his time as a youth basketball coach and mentor.
