Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior catcher and outfielder led the Maroons to a 27-15 record and a runner-up finish in Iowa’s Class 4A state championship this past season. Baumler batted .487 with 11 home runs, 47 RBI, 32 runs and a 1.448 OPS. He led all 4A hitters in home runs, finished second in batting average and fifth in RBI. 

Academic Achievement

Baumler has maintained a 3.39 weighted GPA in the classroom. He is verbally committed to play baseball on scholarship at Texas Christian University beginning in the fall of 2024. 

Exemplary Character

Baumler has volunteered locally with the Miracle League as well as a local food shelter. He has also donated his time to youth baseball camps as an instructor.
