“Smith has made a name for himself as an elite shooter. He has a quick release with plenty of range as a floor-spacer who knocks down three-pointers on a regular basis. He will give NC State a major threat behind the arc and will be a big part of opponents’ scouting report defense.”
Paul Biancardi
ESPN National Recruiting Director

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound senior guard led the Jaguars to a perfect 15-0 record and the Class 2A state championship this past season. Smith averaged 29.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 3.2 steals per game. State tournament MVP in both 2019 and 2021, he also led the Jaguars to a co-state championship in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Also named Player of the Year by the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association, he played in the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic.

Academic Achievement

Smith has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at North Carolina State University this fall.

Exemplary Character

A devoted member of his church youth group, Smith has volunteered locally on behalf of youth basketball programs.
