Athletic Excellence


The 5-foot-10 senior guard led the Monsoon to a 25-6 record and their second consecutive Class 6A state championship this past season. Chavez averaged 23.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.3 steals per game. The Southwest Conference Player of the Year, she was also named Class 6A Player of the Year as a junior and was selected to the All-Arizona Team.

Academic Achievement


Chavez has maintained a weighted 4.42 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Oregon beginning this fall.

Exemplary Character


A tutor in her school and a member of the Key Club, Chavez has volunteered locally on behalf of youth basketball programs.
