The 5-foot-10, 155-pound senior won the Class AA state meet this past season with a time of 15:56.21, breaking the tape 10.88 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Spartans to a second-place finish as a team. Klumph clocked the state’s best 5K time of 2021 with 15:40.66 to win the Coaches Invite in the season’s opening race. He also won the Runner’s Edge Missoula City Meet and crossed the line 128th at the Eastbay West Regional Championships.
Klumph has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at the University of Minnesota this fall.
President of the Sentinel High National Honor Society, Klumph has played the string bass since he was in the fifth grade. He has volunteered locally as a youth tutor and track coach, and has also donated his time on behalf of multiple community service initiatives through his church youth group.
