The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-11 senior right-handed pitcher posted a 31-6 mark with a 1.31 earned run average this past season, leading the Tigers (32-6) to the Class 5A state championship game. Tretton struck out 373 batters in 216.2 innings pitched. Ranked as the nation’s No. 25 recruit in the Class of 2024 by Extra Inning Softball, she posted a .459 batting average with eight home runs, 14 doubles, 45 RBI and a .807 slugging percentage.
Tretton has maintained a weighted 4.06 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play softball on scholarship at the University of Iowa this fall.
Tretton has volunteered locally with Douglas High’s Block D, an athletics-sponsored club that provides Thanksgiving dinners to those in need. She has also donated her time as a youth softball coach.
