The 6-foot-1, 155-pound junior sprinter won a national title in the 400-meter dash at the USATF U20 Championships, beating six collegians to break the tape 0.3 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor. Njie also won the 200 at the Class 7A state meet, clocking a time of 20.80—the nation’s No. 12 time in 2024. His second-place time of 45.37 seconds in the 400 at the state meet was a personal-best, which ranked No. 3 nationally among boys prep competitors this spring and No. 16 in prep history. He ran the second leg for Westlake’s 4x400 and 4x100 relay quartets, which finished first and fifth, respectively.
Njie has maintained a 3.35 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
