The 5-foot-10, 165-pound junior midfielder led the Panthers to a 17-3 season and a second-straight Division I state championship this past season. Somorrostro scored 16 goals and passed for 18 assists, tallying one of each in South’s 2-0 win over Hanover High in the state final. The Nashua Telegraph Player of the Year and a First Team All-State selection, he recorded four goals and three assists in South’s four-game postseason run to the state title.
Somorrostro has maintained a weighted 4.65 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Somorrostro has volunteered locally with the Humane Society of Nashua as well as the Salvation Army. He has also donated his time with the Nashua South Student Mentor program in addition to participating in community beautification projects.
