The 6-foot-2, 160-pound senior hurdler/sprinter won the 400-meter low hurdles and the 400-meter dash at the Class 1A state meet this past season, leading the Raiders to a fourth-place finish as a team. Reynolds also ran the anchor leg on Mount Ayr’s winning Swedish Medley Relay team and took second in the 200-meter dash. His winning time in the 400 hurdles of 51.68 seconds ranked No. 2 nationally among prep competitors this spring.
Reynolds has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom and graduated as his school’s valedictorian. He has signed a national letter of intent to run on scholarship at Stanford University this fall.
A four-year member of the Mount Ayr Student Council, Reynolds served as StudCo president as a senior. He has volunteered locally as a committee leader with the HELP Pod, a youth philanthropy organization. He has also donated his time as a middle school tutor.
