The 6-foot, 140-pound senior distance talent won the mile and 2-mile runs at the Meet of Champions this past season. Bergeron’s mile time of 4:07.98 ranked No. 39 among prep boys competitors this spring. He also took fourth in the 2-mile at the national Brooks PR Invitational, clocking an 8:39.37, which ranked No. 5 nationally. He earned All-American honors at New Balance Nationals Outdoor, running the anchor leg on Westford’s distance medley relay team, which finished fifth.
Bergeron has maintained a 4.02 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at Stanford University this fall.
A member of the German National Honor Society, Bergeron has volunteered locally as a youth basketball coach.
