At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-9, 260-pound senior power forward had led the Plainsmen (19-9) to the Class 4A state title game. Summers averaged 16.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game, shooting 64 percent from inside the arc. He battled a high ankle sprain to score 25 points and pull down 11 rebounds in the state final. As a junior, he led Laramie to the program’s first Regional championship in 55 years and first 20-win season in 81 years. A three-time All-State recipient, he was named the Wyoming Coaches Association Player of the Year in 2024-25 and ranks as the state’s No. 1 recruit in his class by PrepHoops. He concluded his prep career with 1,405 points and a 4A record 990 rebounds.
Summers has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at the University of Wyoming.
Summers has volunteered locally by helping to run multiple youth basketball camps and he's served as a longtime coach for girls youth basketball teams. He has also donated his time by officiating local youth basketball games and working as a CrossFit Kids Coach. He is a 2-time recipient of the Wyoming High School Activities Association Good Sportsmanship Award.
