The 5-foot-5 junior raced to the bronze medal at the 89th New England Cross Country Championships this past season and broke the tape at the NHIAA Meet of Champions with a personal-best time of 17:24.70. Barry also won the Division 1 state title, beating her next-closest competitor by 22.1 seconds. She did not lose to a New Hampshire runner last fall.
Barry has maintained a weighted 4.43 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Also a track and lacrosse athlete, Barry has volunteered locally on behalf of food banks and the Rotary Club. She has also donated her time as a road race assistant and youth lacrosse coach in addition to serving as a member of her school’s Life of a Bulldog Club.
