The 5-foot-2 freshman raced to the bronze medal at the national RunningLane Cross Country Championships this past season with a personal-best time of 16:59.10 to earn First Team All-American honors. Fletcher broke the tape at the Class AA state meet, leading the Huskies to sixth place as a team. She was 10th at the Great American XC Festival—the state’s top finisher at the event.
Fletcher has maintained an A average in the classroom. She will begin her sophomore year of high school this fall.
Fletcher has volunteered locally on behalf of the Charleston Humane Society, the Special Olympics and as part of multiple community service initiatives as a Girl Scout. She has also donated her time with the Charleston Distance Run, the Elk River Running Club and the Veterans Program at Elkview Middle School.
