The 6-foot-4 senior shooting guard averaged 22.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Royals (27-1) to the Class 4A state semifinals. Makalusky also contributed 1.8 steals and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 40.1 percent from 3-point range and 80.3 percent from the free throw line. A two-time First Team All-State selection by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association, she’s ranked as the nation’s No. 35 recruit in the Class of 2025 by ESPN. She concluded her prep basketball career with 1,933 points.
Makalusky has maintained a 3.72 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Indiana University this fall.
Makalusky has volunteered locally supporting intellectually and physically challenged youth with Best Buddies as well as her school’s Unified basketball and track teams. She has also donated her time as an assistant with HSE’s exceptional learners program.
