Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-1, 195-pound junior catcher had led the Vikings to a 28-7 record entering the postseason. McCormick produced a .522 batting average with 17 doubles, nine home runs, 48 RBI and an on-base percentage of .662 through 35 games. A First Team All-State honoree, he’s also a two-time Chicago Tribune All-Area selection and was named a Rawlings/Perfect Game Second Team Underclass All-American.

Academic Achievement


McCormick has maintained a B average in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character


McCormick has volunteered locally as a youth mentor and has raised funds to benefit pediatric cancer patients.
