The 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior point guard had led the Eagles (18-8) to the Division AA state title game this past season, averaging 27.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.7 steals. Klabo will graduate with 2,394 career points, good for the AA state record and eighth in North Dakota history for all divisions. The 2024-25 Division AA Senior Athlete of the Year, he is ranked as the nation’s No. 240 recruit by PrepHoops and scored 21 points in addition to recording seven rebounds and four assists in his final high school game.
Klabo has maintained a 3.91 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Illinois State University this fall.
Klabo has volunteered locally on behalf of Feed My Starving Children and GiGi’s Playhouse, which carries out a mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome. A member of the Shape Club at his school, he has also donated his time as a coach and personal trainer for youth basketball players.
