The 5-foot-6 senior won the mile at the prestigious Millrose Games this past winter with a state-record time of 4:37.76, which ranked as the nation’s No. 1 performance during the 2020 indoor season and represents the No. 5 clocking in U.S. prep history. The state’s Gatorade Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year, Starliper won the mile and the 3000 at the 2020 indoor state championships. She posted the fourth-fastest 3000 in high school history (9:07.14) at that event and clocked the sixth-fastest 1500 (4:19.40) of all-time at the Millrose Games.
Starliper has maintained an A average in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at North Carolina State University.
A devoted member of her church community, Starliper has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics and youth running programs.
