Great American XC Festival’s Race of Champions
“For the second consecutive year, Marcelo Mantecon proved to be at the head of his class, finishing as the nation’s top sophomore after being crowned as America’s top frosh in 2023. Although occasionally afflicted with serious back spasms while racing, the precocious sophomore’s mind-over-body attitude propelled him to become Florida’s No. 2 prep boy at 5K in history.”
