The 5-foot-7 senior right-handed pitcher and outfielder compiled a 26-1 mark in the circle with a 1.26 earned run average this past season, leading the Panthers (31-3-1) to the Class 6A regional quarterfinals. Herzog struck out 280 batters in 150 innings pitched, allowed just 82 hits and 37 walks. At the plate, Herzog batted .569 with 14 doubles, 47 runs scored, 44 runs batted in, 20 stolen bases and a .931 slugging percentage. She is a three-time district most valuable player and was a 2017 First Team All-State selection.
Herzog has maintained a weighted 4.31 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play softball on scholarship at Florida State University this fall.
An award-winning artist, Herzog has volunteered locally as a youth softball coach, and she has donated her time on multiple community-service initiatives through her church youth group.
