“Madison’s work ethic toward the game of softball is beyond comparison. She is the type of player that after a two-and-a-half-hour practice will put in another two hours once everyone else has taken off their cleats. She knows the process of growth and what it takes to improve and she commits to it.”

Head Coach - Head coach of Bohemia Manor High

Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 6-foot-2 senior right-handed pitcher is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2020 by Softball America. An All-Tournament selection at the 2019 Under-18 PGF Premier National Championships last summer, Penta struck out 58 batters in 39 innings pitched for the Pennsylvania Chaos against elite-level national competition. A three-time Class 1A state champion for Bohemia Manor, she concluded her prep softball career with a 49-1 record, a 0.07 earned run average and 762 strikeouts in only 321 innings pitched.

Academic Achievement

Penta has maintained a weighted 4.29 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play softball on scholarship at Auburn University.
