The 5-foot-5 senior won the FHSAA Class 4A state meet this past season with a time of 17:19.5, breaking the tape 35 seconds ahead of her next-closest competitor. Roy also broke the tape at the Class 4A District 2 meet in a personal-best 17:01.0. A winner in 5 of her 6 races, she clocked sub-17:40 for 5K a state-leading six times.
Roy has maintained a weighted 4.22 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run cross country and track at Auburn University this fall.
A member of the National Honor Society, Roy has volunteered locally with Hope’s Place, a victim-focused children’s advocacy center. She has also donated her time as a mentor with the Ormond Beach Youth Soccer Club.
