The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior left-handed pitcher and outfielder had led the Titans to a 23-6 record at the time of his selection. Allen owned an 11-0 record on the mound with a 0.42 earned run average and 126 strikeouts in 67 innings, allowing 27 hits and nine walks thru 29 games. At the plate, Allen owned a .446 batting average with 14 doubles, 27 runs scored and a .630 slugging percentage. The three-time Daytona Beach News-Journal Player of the Year, Allen was a member of the USA Baseball's 18U National Team that won gold at the COPABE Pan American Championships in Mexico last summer.
Allen has maintained a weighted 4.19 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at Florida International University beginning this fall.
Allen has volunteered locally as part of community beautification projects and as a youth baseball coach. "Logan Allen is the real deal," said Willie Brown, head coach of Winter Park High. "The kid knows how to pitch and competes the entire game. When you think you've figured him out, he digs deeper and strikes everyone out."
