The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 6-foot-8, 225-pound junior forward led the Pumas to a 24-6 record and a second-straight Open State Tournament championship this past season. Peat averaged 20.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.0 steals per game, recording 21 points, 15 boards and five assists in Perry’s 71-67 win over Millennium High in the state final. Ranked as the nation’s No. 4 recruit in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports, he concluded his junior year with 1,649 points in his prep basketball career.
Peat has maintained a weighted 3.59 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Peat has volunteered locally on the Gila River Indian Community reservation with the Komatke Branch of the Boys and Girls Club. He has also donated his time as a youth basketball and football coach in addition to sponsoring multiple families for Christmas tree and toy drives.
