The 5-foot-8 junior setter led the Bulldogs to a 32-4 record and a second-straight Class 6A state championship this past season. Phelan amassed 1,123 assists in addition to compiling 274 digs, 112 service aces, 88 kills and 31 blocks, including 41 assists and 14 digs in a three-set sweep of Har-Ber High in the state final. A three-time Class 6A First Team All-State selection, Phelan was the 2021 6A state tournament MVP and the All-Arkansas Preps Player of the Year. She concluded her junior year with 2,995 assists in her prep volleyball career.
Phelan has maintained a 3.91 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play volleyball on scholarship at Florida State University beginning in the fall of 2023.
Phelan has volunteered locally with special education students at Fayetteville High, and she has donated her time at Potter’s House of Northwest Arkansas, which empowers the needy.
