The 6-foot-1, 120-pound junior won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference A meet this past season with a time of 15:43.01, breaking the tape 1.44 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Cardinals to the team title. Omopariola also finished 53rd at the Nike Cross Southeast Regional Championships. He broke 16 minutes four times on the season.
Omopariola has maintained a B average in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Omopariola has volunteered locally as part of multiple community service initiatives through his school’s Peer Ministry program.
