Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior left-handed pitcher and first baseman had led the Eagles to a 20-3 record and a berth in the Class 5A state tournament at the time of his selection. At the plate, Olson produced a .525 batting average (31-for-59) with 14 home runs, 34 RBI, 31 runs, 20 walks, three triples and a slugging percentage of 1.423 through 23 games. On the mound, Olson posted a 3-1 record and five saves with a 1.77 earned run average and 46 strikeouts in 23.2 innings pitched, surrendering 19 hits and 12 walks. Olson owned a career .438 batting average to go with 30 home runs and 108 RBI entering the postseason.

Academic Achievement


Olson has maintained a weighted 3.48 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Kentucky this fall.

Exemplary Character


Olson has volunteered locally as an assistant coach at the Eagles Baseball Clinic every summer.
