“Joe Hurlburt is one of the most skilled bigs to come out of North Dakota in a while. He has the ability to go inside out. His size creates matchup problems for many teams. I believe he has gotten more explosive off the dribble this year and improved that part of his game.”
Brad Woehl
Head Coach - Kindred High head coach

Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 6-foot-11, 220-pound senior forward led the Eagles to a 17-6 record and the Class B Region 1 title game. Hurlburt averaged 25.5 points, 14.9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2.1 blocks and 1.7 steals on the season and, in so doing, reached 2,188 points for his career and became the leading rebounder in North Dakota boys basketball history with 1,475.

Academic Achievement

Hurlburt has maintained a 3.5 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Colorado this fall.

Exemplary Character

Hurlburt has volunteered locally with Enderlin’s elementary basketball program, Eagle Buddies. He also has donated his time to team fundraisers and multiple community service events.
