The 6-foot-1, 150-pound senior delivered a signature performance by racing to seventh place at the Nike Cross Nationals Final this past season, clocking a time of 15:25.5 to earn First Team All-America accolades. Wischusen finished among the top two in every race he completed in 2023, including winning the Union County Championships in a personal-best time 15:12.0. He also crossed the line second at the Non-Public A Group meet, leading the Vikings to second place as a team.
Wischusen has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at the University of Virginia this fall.
Wischusen has volunteered locally at Theater To All, which conducts summertime shows and A Christmas Carol each year to raise funds for a chosen charity. He has also served as a volunteer youth coach for the Speed Skills Track Club.
