Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound senior running back led the Cadets to a 13-1 record and the Class 6 state championship this past season. Love rushed for 1,292 yards and 22 touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 370 yards and five scores. In CBC’s 35-28, overtime win over Lee’s Summit North High in the state final, Love rumbled for 212 yards and three scores on the ground and caught three balls for 106 yards and two TDs. Ranked as the nation’s No. 59 recruit in the Class of 2023 by Rivals.com, he was a First Team Class 6 All-State selection.

Academic Achievement

Love has maintained an unweighted 4.05 GPA in the classroom. At the time of his selection, he’d made a verbal commitment to play football on scholarship at the University of Notre Dame this fall.

Exemplary Character

Love has volunteered locally with the Ethical Society of Police to address race-based discrimination within the community. He has also donated his time at an elementary school and as part of community beautification projects.
