Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-3, 220-pound junior posted Top-10 national marks in the discus and hammer throw events this past season. Nubbe’s personal-best hammer throw of 218 feet, 5.75 inches at the Seattle Springs Hammer Series in April ranked No. 5 nationally among 2021 prep competitors at the time of his selection. The Class 2B state champion in the discus as a freshman, Nubbe’s personal-best discus throw of 196 feet even ranked No. 7 nationally this spring.

Academic Achievement


Nubbe has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character


The president of the SkillsUSA Club at Rainier High, Nubbe is an experienced welder who has helped install signs at several community parks around Rainier. He has volunteered locally with the Rainier Education Foundation Scholarship program.
