The 6-foot, 150-pound senior guard led the Vikings to a 28-3 record and a Class 3A state title this past season. Petty averaged 24.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.2 steals per game while shooting 59.5 percent from the floor and 46.6 percent from beyond the arc. The 3A state tournament MVP and 2025 Washington Mr. Basketball, he’s ranked as the nation’s No. 118 prospect in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports.
Petty has maintained a 3.89 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at the University of New Mexico this fall.
A talented sketch artist, Petty has volunteered locally on behalf of the Seattle Mentors program. He has also served as a member of Rainier Beach High’s Black Student Union.
