The 6-foot senior wing had led the Quakers to a 26-3 record and a berth in the DCSAA Tournament semifinals at the time of her selection. Donovan averaged 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game through 29 games. A finalist for the Naismith Girls Basketball National Player of the Year award, Donovan is a McDonald’s High School All-American Game selection and a member of the Nike Hoop Summit Team USA squad.
Donovan has maintained a B average in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at Duke University this fall.
A founding member of the Jr. NBA Court of Leaders mentorship program, Donovan has volunteered locally with the Dupont Park Adventist School as well as with the Allegheny East Conference as part of a project to distribute back-to-school supplies to families in need. She has also donated her time on behalf of the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services and she’s an active member of her school’s Black Student Union.
