The 5-foot-7, 130-pound junior won the state meet this past season with a personal-best time of 15:57.27, breaking the tape 27.4 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Na Menehune to seventh place as a team. Millare also won the Oahu Interscholastic Association Championship last fall. He was the top Hawaii finisher at the Foot Locker West Regional Championships, placing 74th in 16:48.
Millare has maintained a 3.41 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Millare has volunteered locally as a middle school track meet marshal, and he has donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church community.
