Athletic Excellence


At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior guard had led the Vikings to a 19-8 record and a berth in the Class 6A state tournament semifinals. Bethea averaged 23.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game through 27 games. A McDonald’s All-American Game selection and a semifinalist for the 2024 Naismith Award, Bethea is a two-time Philadelphia Catholic League MVP. He’s ranked as the nation’s No. 7 recruit in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports.

Academic Achievement


Bethea has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Miami this fall.

Exemplary Character


Bethea has volunteered locally on behalf of Athletes Helping Athletes, Inc., a program that connects special needs students with mainstream student-athletes. He has also donated his time as part of multiple fundraisers to benefit the Philadelphia Autism Project.
