The 6-foot, 180-pound sophomore sprinter won the national championship in the 200-meter dash this past season at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor. Odey-Jordan’s winning time of 20.55 seconds set a state record and ranked No. 3 nationally among prep competitors this spring. He also shared in a national championship at NBNO and earned All-American honors by running the second leg on Archbishop Carroll’s winning 4x200-meter relay team. He became an All-American for a second time when Carroll’s 4x100 relay foursome that he ran with placed third.
Odey-Jordan has maintained a 3.89 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his junior year of high school this fall.
Odey-Jordan has volunteered locally with the Humane Rescue Alliance protecting animals and on behalf of the Archbishop Carroll Food Pantry. He has also donated his time with the Special Olympics in addition to serving as a member of his school’s student council.
