“Jackson Holliday is the most humble, hardest-working baseball player I have ever seen. He has a professional work ethic and the way he trains and takes care of his body is one of his great strengths. His baseball IQ is at a very high level and he really understands how to play the game at a high level.”

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound senior shortstop set a national single-season record with 89 base hits this past season, according to the National Federation of High Schools. Ranked as the nation’s No. 3 recruit in the Class of 2022 by Prep Baseball Report and No. 9 by Perfect Game, Holliday batted .685 with 17 home runs and 79 RBI, leading the Pioneers (29-12) to the Class 6A regional final. A 2021 Perfect Game All-American Game invitee and a 2021 Team USA 18U National Team member, he compiled a .749 on-base percentage and a jaw-dropping 2.141 OPS this spring, swiping 30 bases without being caught en route to scoring 74 runs.

Academic Achievement

Holliday has maintained a 3.32 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Oklahoma State University this fall, but is projected as an early round selection in July’s Major League Baseball Draft.

Exemplary Character

A devoted parishioner in his church community, Holliday has volunteered locally as a bible study leader with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has also donated his time in association with Glennon Children’s Hospital in addition to serving as a youth baseball coach.
