Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound senior left-handed pitcher was a Rawlings-Perfect Game 2020 First Team Preseason All-Northeast Region selections and ranks as New England’s No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2020 by Prep Baseball Report. The state’s returning Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year, Owen compiled a career record of 13-3 on the mound and led the Red Riots (17-2) to the Class A semifinals in 2019, posting a 5-0 record with a 0.17 ERA. A First Team All-State selection and the 2019 Southwestern Maine Activities Association Pitcher of the Year, he surrendered just 16 hits and 11 walks in 40.2 innings pitched last spring, while striking out 73 batters.

Academic Achievement

Owen has maintained a 3.90 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Vanderbilt University.
