“Haven made big saves to help her school win the state championship. I don’t think they win it without her. Since we lost to them in the state final, I can tell you that she was the biggest influence on the game.”

Head Coach - Head coach of Davis High

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-9 senior goalkeeper led the Cavemen to an 18-2 record and the Class 6A state championship this past season. Empey allowed just 13 goals and posted seven shutouts, including clean sheets in the state quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The Deseret News Ms. Soccer winner, Empey is a two-time state champion. Ranked as the nation’s No. 193 recruit in the Class of 2020 by TopDrawerSoccer.com, she concluded her prep soccer career with 53 wins and 26 shutouts.

Academic Achievement

Empey maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. Taking advantage of NCAA early signing rules, Empey inked a financial-aid agreement that paved the way for her to enroll at Brigham Young University. She graduated from high school in January and participated in classes throughout the spring semester.

Exemplary Character

Empey has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach, and she has donated her time to multiple community service initiatives through her church youth group.
