The 6-foot-9, 210-pound junior forward led the Blazers to a 20-11 record and the Class 5A state championship while averaging 22.1 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.25 blocks, 1 steal and 1.25 assists per game. The Class 5A Player of the Year, he finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in Ridge View’s 65-57 win over Fort Dorchester in the title game.
Jackson has maintained a B average in the classroom and will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Jackson has volunteered locally on behalf of multiple community service initiatives through his church. He also has donated his time as a member of Ridge View’s SMOOTH Movement, a program in which male students seek to provide a positive image and stress the importance of community service for Ridge View’s younger male students.
