“I know this is such a cliché, but she really is a kid where the bigger the moment, the better she is. She really does have a burning desire to be the best.”
Dave Lotti
Head Coach - LaCedra’s summer ball coach

Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-7 sophomore right-handed pitcher was named the best player in the state by MaxPreps.com during the 2020 preseason. The 2019 Boston Globe Division 1 Player of the Year, LaCedra posted a 20-2 record in the circle as a sophomore with a 0.95 earned run average and 217 strikeouts in 147 innings pitched. She was the top pitcher throughout last summer and fall for the Rhode Island Thunder 18-and-under ASA softball team, competing against elite national competition despite being the youngest member of the pitching staff.

Academic Achievement

LaCedra has maintained an A average in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character

LaCedra has volunteered locally as a mentor for students with learning disabilities and she has donated her time as a youth softball coach.
