Athletic Excellence


The 5-foot-2 senior defender led the Hawks to a 19-2 record and the Class 5A state championship this past season. Montoya recorded seven goals and seven assists, and anchored a defense that surrendered just six goals in 21 games. The Class 5A State Player of the Year, she was a 2019 United Soccer Coaches High School All-American selection.

Academic Achievement


Montoya has maintained a weighted 3.51 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of New Mexico.

Exemplary Character


Montoya has volunteered locally at a food bank and homeless shelter, and she has donated her time to the Special Olympics and as a youth soccer coach.
