Athletic Excellence


The 5-foot-8 sophomore forward led the Knights to an 18-5-1 record and the Group AAA state championship this past season. Charles scored 49 goals and passed for 16 assists, including scoring all four of her team’s goals throughout the state quarterfinals, semifinals and final. The West Virginia Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Year, Charles was also the West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association’s Group AAA Forward of the Year. She concluded her sophomore year with 78 goals and 31 assists in her prep soccer career.

Academic Achievement


Ranked No. 1 in her class, Charles has maintained a weighted 4.59 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character


Charles has volunteered locally with the Eastern Cabell County Humanities Organization and at a homeless shelter. She has also donated her time as a youth soccer and basketball coach.
