The 6-foot-6, 215-pound senior forward led the Hawks to a 26-7 record and the Select Division II state championship this past season. Timmons averaged 21.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game, and he capped his season with 22 points and four boards in a 59-55 win over Archbishop Shaw in the state final. A three-time First Team All-State selection, he concluded his prep basketball career with 2,910 points and 1,491 rebounds.
Timmons has maintained an A average in the classroom. He will attend the United States Naval Academy, where he will play basketball, beginning this fall.
Timmons has volunteered locally at the Up21 Bike Camp, teaching special needs children and adults how to ride a bicycle. He has also donated his time to community beautification projects and as a youth basketball coach.
