The 5-foot-9, 150-pound junior point guard led the Rams to a 31-0 record and a second straight Class 2A state championship this past season. Neal averaged 22.8 points, 9.1 assists, 7.0 steals and 4.9 rebounds per game, including 24 points, five boards and four assists in Reidsville’s 71-54 win over Northwood High in the state final, the team’s 60th consecutive victory. A Naismith Trophy Award Honorable Mention All-American, Neal connected on 61.5 percent of his 3-point shots (72-of-117) and 88.1 percent of his free throws (140-of-159). He concluded his junior year with 1,870 points and 895 assists in his prep basketball career.
Neal has maintained a weighted 3.69 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Neal has volunteered locally at the Reidsville Family YMCA and on behalf of the Reidsville Recreation Department.
