The 5-foot-2 senior finished 10th at the NXN Nationals Final this past season, clocking a time of 17:34.20 to earn Second Team All-American honors. Scheffler qualified for nationals by taking fifth at the NXN Midwest Regional, garnering First Team All-Region recognition. She also broke the tape at the OHSAA Division 1 state meet last fall, eclipsing the meet record in 17:01.29, in addition to running a personal-best 16:41.90 to win the Federal League Championship. She won nine of her 11 races, finished unbeaten against in-state competition and clocked Ohio’s fastest girls prep 5K of 2024.
Scheffler has maintained a weighted 4.5 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run at North Carolina State University this fall.
A member of her school’s Spanish Club, Scheffler has volunteered locally as a Sunday School mentor at her church. Through her extensive involvement in 4-H, she has excelled in agriculture and animal care, earning numerous accolades at both the county and state levels. She’s also a member of the North Canton Gymnastics team as well as the Lake High squad.
